What is a Personal Travel designer?

A personal travel designer creates highly personalised experiences. We offer travel concierge services, which means that we create personalised experiences that are 100% adjusted to your specific needs and interests. We’re different from a traditional travel agency because we don’t sell any packages. We tailor every itinerary according to your wishes and research accommodation, activities, transportation, restaurants, etc. that match your budget and preferences.


 

Why do I need a Personal Travel designer?

A personal travel and experience creator is all about you! We understand that every person and family has unique interests and expectations for what makes a great time. For that reason, unlike traditional travel agencies, we don’t sell packages and we offer more than just a booking service. We provide a professional service that gives you inspiration, insight, knowledge, understanding, networks and contacts to create a trip that is filled with (your) personality. 

Our job is also to save you time and remove the stress involved in planning and booking your travel, whether it is a quick weekend break or a bucket-list trip. We’ll take care of all the details, so you can enjoy the experience, secure in the knowledge that you have someone with you every step of the way, and there for you if anything goes wrong.

Through our knowledge, expertise and networks we can also unlock added value through access to experiences that aren’t always publicly available. Some of the benefits include complimentary upgrades, complimentary breakfast, spa vouchers, private tours and access to unique excursions and sights. 


 

Can’t I just plan myself?

Yes, you can, but it may take hours and hours of your time, you may miss those destinations you can only know about if you have been before or spent weeks researching.  To create a genuinely rewarding, brilliant trip that ticks everyone’s boxes takes know-how, creativity, connections and attention to detail…not to mention a lot of time. If you already feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day and planning your trip is another thing on your increasingly long to do list, then let us do the heavy lifting.

Why should I use you instead of an online tour operator or large travel agency?

We are a boutique company focused on our client relationships, and as I own the business, I’m 100% focused on your satisfaction. With a larger agency there will be churn, and you might get lost in the mix. We provide the same services and amenities as them, but you have my undivided attention and focus on your trip.

We are also not tied to specific destinations or resorts - we are completely independent and look to every corner of a continent, country, city or countryside to create a trip that’s the perfect fit for you. Our priority is making sure you and your fellow travellers have a great time. You’ll stay in a place that fits your needs, enjoy activities and experiences handpicked for you and eat what makes you happy - no kickbacks required.


 

What does it cost?

  • From £300 (inc.VAT) total for 1–6 people

  • From £100 per person (inc. VAT) for 6+ people

We calculate the trip design fee based on how much time we think it will take us to create something extraordinary for you.

We find that many of our clients want to book their own travel arrangements, especially if they have points to use. If you’d prefer us to book your travel for you, we’re happy to do that and charge a flat £50 per person booking fee to do this. 

For longer trips of more than 14 nights, please get in touch and we’ll design a bespoke quote for you. 

The trip design fee is due upfront and is non-refundable. 


 

Why do you charge a trip design fee?

There are a few reasons why we charge a trip design fee:

  • It covers the hours of research and the planning involved in creating a totally personalised trip. As each itinerary is designed especially for you, there’s a huge amount of work involved upfront

  • We’ve got industry relationships and in-depth knowledge that we want to share with you – through local destination knowledge, confidence in the services we book you, and VIP treatment throughout

  • You’ll get access to our exclusive networks and partnerships which provide brilliant kickbacks like upgrades, complimentary meals, spa credits & hotel credit

  • We care! Each person on every trip matters to us. We care about your laughter, smiles, adventures and memories. We’ll be there for you throughout the entire process going above and beyond to ensure you have an unforgettable time.

If your requirements are very simple, for example you just need a hotel booking, please get in touch and we can discuss waiving the fees. 


 

What if I plan a trip and then I decide I want to go in a different direction?

Every itinerary we create is from scratch and the time we’ve spent on planning a trip for you is uniquely yours. We can go back to the drawing board but this will incur another trip design fee, to be discussed and agreed with you. 


 

How do I start creating a trip?

To get started simply fill in this short trip design form to tell me a bit more about yourself and your plans. We’ll then get in touch and organise a complimentary consultation.


 

What happens if I need support when I’m away?

We’ll be there for you the whole way through the process and that extends to helping you if anything goes wrong during a trip organised and booked by us. We do work regular hours but keep an eye on things outside of those times. In an emergency you’ll be able to contact us but we’ll also provide you with the contact details of brilliant people on the ground wherever you are, and they may be better placed to help you. 


 

What happens if my holiday plans are impacted by Covid-19?

As all our trips are bespoke every scenario is different. We work with all our suppliers and partners to secure best cancellation terms possible for our clients. We will be completely transparent about the different terms and conditions for each of the services you’re booking with us and strongly encourage you to read these and understand these when booking a trip in these uncertain times. Whatever happens we are on your side and will fight to secure the best possible outcome for you if Covid-19 impacts on your plans.
